About the Owner

Hi, I’m Andrew Spiros and I like cars. I’ve been playing around with car detailing products since 2008 when I was 15 years old. I have fond memories of gathering all kinds of random cleaning products, brushes and rags while I poked around on my folks cars. I grew up in Melbourne, Victoria, where the legal probationary driving age is 18.

I would constantly wish that I could drive, wish that I was already 18 and had my license so I could get around and be free. I was so prepared that I managed to buy my first car when I was 16 so that I could detail it, get my speakers set up in it, my air fresheners, my number plates, and of course my L-plates! I was so organised that I had already cracked my minimum required hours of driving instruction before I turned 17.

From time to time, I would find myself in situations where I would have either offered, or have been asked to clean cars of friends or family and when I would – they would always be so shocked. “Andrew, how did you get this looking so good?! It looks brand new!” It took me a while to realise that they were always so shocked because I must have a bit of a knack for this, so I continued grabbing different products to further my knowledge and skillset even before I could drive my own car.

I worked in a plumbing sales company for nearly a decade, and I would wash my delivery ute each Saturday and get so many compliments from other staff and managers “That’s the cleanest tradie ute I’ve ever seen”.

All while furthering myself in my career and hobby, I moved onto another car which I spent a bit of money on, to get the paintwork done, custom leather, once again – stereo, etc. I actually did quite a lot of this myself. This car was a bit of a show car and I even won car shows for loudest stereo but even more relevant, concourse detail shows too.

Later in my 10-year tenure at the plumbing company, I had reasons to want and need to do something on my own. Family, passion for cars, facing new challenges and evidently to maximise earning potential.

Well, it snowballed. I hussled pretty hard and in fact, the personal/detailing mobile phone of mine started ringing more than my manager’s-company phone. I decided to get my hobby kickstarted to what would be a crazy venture on our own.

It was due to the shopping experiences for the blue and orange commodore customisations that I had worked out what NOT to do, and thanks to my decade at the plumbing company (which had super high service standards), I knew exactly what to do – when it came to retail experience in the automotive industry. I knew exactly how to service people, exactly how they deserve to be serviced. Similar experiences were had when it came to partnerships with ceramic coating providers. Then, Murano.

As a younger kid I really did love and cherish this blue & orange car. A lot of people loved it, and of course a bunch of haters didn’t. The thing is, I’m still proud of all the things I managed to do to it at the time and it gave me all the fuel I needed to create something of my own for my clients as I truly do understand customer expectations.

In summary, through my time of getting to where I wanted to be, looking after customers with my passion, and understanding exactly what they need, I learned everything I needed to know about ceramic coatings and all that there is to know about preparing the paint in order to perform the perfect application.

Nowadays I’m running a small 3-man band performing Ceramic Coatings and Paint Protection Film installs. I really endeavour to focus on quality rather than quantity. I still get on the tools several times a week, and you’ll generally find me somewhere in the shop. Feel free to come in and say hi or ask me any questions!

(for the car lovers)…

By the way, I haven’t JUST been into the commo’s!

These days I’m still heavily into my cars, currently have a G80 M3 Competition with white interior and some tasteful mods, making nearly 700hp (can’t go past a RWD)!

The car “belts” at roll racing and general track days, skids, you name it.

Ok, that’s enough about me. Let’s talk about you.

See you at the shop!
