Why Tint
Benefits of Window Tinting on the Gold Coast
Few places in the country punish an untinted cabin quite like South East Queensland. Long summers, high UV and reflected glare off the water all take a toll on the interior and on the people sitting in it.
Quality film changes the way a car behaves in that environment. It cuts the heat load before it reaches the glass, takes the edge off glare on the M1 and along the coast road, and shields the dash, trim and seats from the UV that fades and cracks them over time.
It also pairs naturally with the rest of your protection. Many customers book window tinting Gold Coast alongside ceramic coating or new car protection so the vehicle is covered inside and out in a single visit.
Heat
A Cooler Cabin
Film rejects a large share of the solar energy hitting your glass, so the car heats up less while parked and the air conditioning works less on the road.
UV
Interior Protection
UV is what fades dashboards, cracks trim and dulls leather. Blocking it at the glass keeps the cabin looking closer to new for longer and supports resale value.
Glare
Safer Visibility
Low morning and afternoon sun off the water and wet road surfaces creates harsh glare. Tint reduces it without compromising the vision you need at night.
Privacy
Discretion And Security
Darker rear glass makes it harder to see what is inside a parked car, which is a practical deterrent at the beach car park or the shopping centre.
Comfort
Better For Passengers
Rear tint keeps direct sun off children, pets and anything you leave on the back seat, and makes long drives noticeably more comfortable in summer.
Finish
A Cleaner Look
Correctly matched film gives the glass a uniform, factory correct appearance, with no purpling, patchiness or visible edges around the seals.

The Films
Our Range of Tinting Films
We install two grades of film, both non metallic and both legal at the darkness levels Queensland allows. The right choice comes down to how much heat rejection you want and how you use the vehicle.
Carbon Film
Carbon film uses a carbon particle layer rather than dye or metal. It blocks UV, cuts glare and holds its colour, so it will not fade to the purple tone that gives cheap dyed film away after a couple of summers.
Best for: daily drivers wanting a substantial upgrade on factory glass at a sensible price point.
Stay Compliant
QLD Tinting Laws and Regulations
Queensland sets its tint limits through the Department of Transport and Main Roads, and they are measured in VLT, or visible light transmission. A lower number means a darker film.
The point that catches most people out is that the limit applies to the combined result of your factory glass and the film over it, not the film alone. Most factory glass already sits around 70 to 75% VLT, so a film rated at the legal minimum can push the combined reading under it. We measure your glass before recommending a film, so your vehicle leaves compliant.

| Window | Legal Limit | What It Means |
|---|---|---|
| Windscreen | No tint | No film across the main viewing area. A tint band is allowed across the top 10% of the windscreen, or above the wiper sweep, whichever is lower. |
| Front Side Windows | 35% VLT minimum | The combined VLT of the glass and film must not drop below 35%. This is the strictest limit on the vehicle. |
| Rear Side Windows | 20% VLT minimum | Darker film is permitted behind the driver, provided the vehicle has working external mirrors on both sides. |
| Rear Windscreen | 20% VLT minimum | Same allowance as the rear side windows, subject to the same external mirror requirement. |
| Reflectance | 10% maximum | Highly reflective or mirrored film is not permitted, because it creates glare for other road users. |
Going darker than the limits risks an on the spot fine and a defect notice requiring the film to be removed before the vehicle can be driven, and it can complicate an insurance claim after an accident. Different rules apply to some goods carrying vehicles such as vans and utes, so ask us about your specific vehicle. These limits are current at the time of writing and are provided as a guide only. For the definitive requirements, check with the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.
Step By Step
Our Installation Process
A tint job is only as good as its preparation. Contamination trapped under film shows up as specks and bubbles that never go away, so every window tinting Gold Coast install follows the same disciplined sequence in a controlled, enclosed workshop.
Step 01
Consultation And Measurement
We discuss how you use the vehicle, then measure the factory glass with a light meter so the film we select keeps the combined VLT inside the legal limit.
Step 02
Deep Clean And Decontamination
Glass is stripped of grime, adhesive residue and bonded contamination. Any existing film is removed first, along with the old adhesive underneath it.
Step 03
Precision Cutting
Film is cut to your vehicle’s exact glass profile and heat shrunk to match the curvature, so it sits flush right to the edges with no gaps, lifting or light showing at the seals.
Step 04
Application
Each panel is applied in a controlled environment to keep airborne dust out from under the film, then squeegeed to remove moisture and lock the adhesive down evenly.
Step 05
Inspection
Every window is checked under specialist lighting for contamination, edge gaps and clarity before the vehicle is signed off and handed back.
Step 06
Curing And Aftercare
We explain the curing period, when you can first wind the windows down, and which products to avoid when cleaning the film, so it keeps performing for the life of the vehicle.
Loan cars are available across all three studios, so you are not left waiting. Let us know when you book and we will have one ready.

Backed For Life
Lifetime Warranty Information
Cheap film fails in predictable ways. It bubbles at the edges, turns purple, cracks along the demister lines, or peels away from the glass after a few summers. Our films are chosen specifically because they do not do that, and they are warranted accordingly.
Every tint we install carries a lifetime warranty on the film, and our workmanship is covered alongside it. If a covered fault appears, we make it right. No fine print gymnastics, no arguing over whose problem it is.
– Bubbling and Blistering
– Cracking and Crazing
– Adhesive Failure
– Peeling and Delamination
– Discolouration and Fading
– Installation Workmanship
The warranty is registered to your vehicle at the time of installation. Keep your invoice, and if anything ever looks wrong, call us on 1300 300 100 and bring the car in.
